Jay Chou Yuan You Hui (Garden Party)
Learn Chinese with Jay Chou Yuan You Hui (Garden Party). This Chinese pop music is from the famous Jay Chou's 5th album - Qi Li Xiang, a.k.a. Common Jasmine Orange.
Jay uses a lot of metaphors in this song. For example he describes the dusk as like sugars and is amber colored. On the instance that you hear it, you can immediately picture the color of the dusk that Jay wants us to imagine. You can try to identify all of the metaphors in the lyric.
The theme of the song is set in a theme park, if you watch the MTV below; you'll realize it's actually the new Disneyland that opens up in Hong Kong last year. The guy meets the girl in one of the catching the fish games and the sparks start from there.
Special Note:
Where a bracket [] is used in English translation it means that: The particular word is not actually written in Chinese lyric, however it is included to make the meaning clearer.
The words in [] are my own interpretation based on my understanding of the Chinese lyric. However it may not be the most accurate meaning to the lyric.
