Jay Chou Qi Li Xiang (Common Jasmine Orange)

Jay Chou Qi Li Xiang (The Common Jasmine Orange) is from Jay's Qi Li Xiang 5th album. It is a very Eastern feel of soft rock. Jay's partner - Fan Wen Shan, wrote the lyric in a poem style unlike the ones he had wrote before.

If you read the lyrics closely, you will realize that Jay is actually painting a word picture. The whole lyric is full of visulization. As you read the lyrics and listen to the music, you will find yourself looking outside the window. Outside the window you realize that the sparrows are having a small concert on the electricity poles.

As the music follows, you then find yourself seeing a couple sitting in a room chatting. The guy is writing a poem for the girl and the girl is giving the guy inspirations.

Take your time to ponder this song through.

Wonder how Qi Li Xiang (Common Jasmine Orange) looks like? It's a very common flowers seen in Taiwan. Below is a picture of Qi Li Xiang.

Special Note:
Where a bracket [] is used in the English translation it means that: The particular word is not actually written in the Chinese lyric, however it is included to make the meaning clearer.

The words in [] are the translator's own interpretation based on her understanding of the Chinese lyric. However it may not be the most accurate representation of what the Chinese lyric means.
